Collaborative artistic intervention at a vacant and overgrown house

The project engages with an abandoned house in Ulm that has become overgrown with vegetation. What happens when it’s not humans greening urban space, but plants acquire spaces for themselves? For two weeks, three artists joined us, each engaging through different means with plants and organisms in inner-city habitats. Together they developed a work between action and installation. The experience was accessible for visitors through a bicycle tour to the overgrown house. Visitors and artists were understood in a non-hierarchical manner as co-experiencers. Through “data sheets”, individual impressions were collected. Visitors received a small publication, created in the screen print studio at Griesbadgalerie, the organizing institution.
